Enjoy Lake Témiscouata !

Lake Témiscouata is the 2nd largest lake south or the St. Lawrence River. With its 45km in length and its 5km in width, it covers a total surface area of 67km2. It is a vast playground for fishermen and water-sports lovers. The Motel Royal is located near the Cabano marina and its landings. The municipal beach is less than 5 minute walk away. Supervised by certified lifeguards, it offers secure swimming environment in high quality water.

Why not rent a craft to discover this majestic lake. The Témilac Resort offers equipment rentals such as :

  • rowboats,
  • canoes,
  • pedal boats.

Fishermen will be pleased to discover the variety of fish that inhabit the lake such as: lake trout, brook trout, dwarf and lake whitefish, yellow perch and numerous bait fishes. Parc national du Lac-Témiscouata, the jewel of the region

Situated just in front of the Motel Royal, across the lake, stands one of the newest addition to Quebec’s National Parks network, the Parc national du Lac-Témiscouata ! Hiking, cycling, boating, and discovery activities are a great way for visitors to experience the spirit of this place and fully appreciate the scope of an area rich with 10,000 years of human history, all in an unspoiled natural setting in the heart of Mounts Notre-Dame.

It is estimated that about forty species of mammals, twenty fish species, fifteen reptile and amphibian species and 150 bird species visit or live in the park. Keep an eye open, maybe you’ll get the chance to admire the bald eagle, the park’s animal emblem!

Power-sports enthusiasts, discover Témiscouata

Whether on a snowmobile, an ATV or a motor bike, Témiscouata is renowned as an ideal region to stroll around and discover marvelous landscapes..

The Club Quad Trans-Témis has been working constantly for more than 10 years on improving the quality of the ATV trails. This hard work allows users to enjoy more than 600 km of 3 season trails and more than 225 km of trails during winter. Enough for everyone to experience unforgettable ATV rides !

With its mild weather, Témiscouata offers a microclimate, several degrees warmer than that of the St. Lawrence River shoreline. An ideal temperature to ride your motorcycle ! Follow one of our tourist routes and discover Témiscouata differently !

Destination of choice for cyclists !

On one’s own, with family or among friends, hop on your bicycle to discover the region! Take the Petit-Témis, the first interprovincial cycle route network in Canada. Built on an old railway track, it connects Rivière-du-Loup (Quebec) to Edmundston (New-Brunswick). This 134 km long path offers amazing landscapes between lake and mountain. Put your golf skills to the test !

Considered as one of the most beautiful golf course in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region, the Club de golf de la Vallée du Témiscouata proposes a significant challenge ! This 18 holes (par 72) course of 6 205 yards (5 677 meters) is renowned for its narrow fairways, numerous water hazards and above all exceptional greens conditions.
